That looks like fun and at 99 cents cant really beat the price. Also I see it's Xperia PLAY optimized so should be able to use a controller with it.

I'm hoping I can play it with my Logitech wireless controller!  :)

Well I downloaded this last week and just got around to trying it tonight. Unfortunately it does not have controller support  :(  It's really too bad as it looks good but I just cannot get used to that onscreen virtual joystick.

I have not been able to test it with controllers.  I wonder if the native Android controller software will work with my Logitech.  I have to test this when I get back from my business trip.  Just in case, I do have that Logitech controller you stick on the tablet to at least have something physical to touch instead of just onscreen controllers.

So with the one that sticks to the tablet, there's an actual joystick that sits on top of where the virtual one is on the screen? I might have to look at getting one of those. Does it work good?

That's exactly how it works.  It is more like a joypad but at least it is something physical.  They are made by Logitech and they are not very expensive.  Here is a picture of it on an iPad:

It works fine on Android tablets also.  It certainly keeps me from moving my finger out of the virtual controller!

I am avidly awaiting the release of Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition at the moment, which is supposed to be arriving before Christmas. However, for the time being Avadon: The Black Fortress is keeping me occupied. It's a little bit fiddly even on a 7" screen but it's not as if fast actions are required.

Osmos HD has already been mentioned in this thread but I thought I'd add my recommendation. I recently finished Odyssey mode - it's a unique and compelling game and deserves to be played on whichever platform you can find it on.

There are of course tons of match-3 games around but I heartily recommend Treasures of Montezuma 3, a match-3 game which can actually be described as - wait for it - exhilarating! Zookeeper DX isn't bad either but the difficulty ramps up a bit too quickly for my liking, and there's nowhere near the variety of ToM3.

Has anyone mentioned Ski Safari yet? Fantastic little game - it's the spot-on physics that really makes it work.

Spellsword is finally out for Android and its free. If you havent played the IOS version, its an awesomely addictve Platform/Slash'em UP/RPG hybrid which kind of plays like a cross between Zelda and Super Crate Box.
Highly recommended, heres a taster below:

I noticed I was playing more and more board games on my iPhone, so decided to pick up an iPad to start doing it more 'properly'. I'm really glad I did as it's an absolutely fantastic device for the purpose. With that, here are some iOS board game recommendations:

Neuroshima Hex!
Neuroshima Hex! Puzzle
Ingenious
Qin
Ticket To Ride
Khet 2.0 (warning: this app is critically buggy, despite the game itself being fantastic)
Samurai (Reiner Knizia's, if you are inundated by millions of results)
Carcassone
Letterpress
Spelltower

I'd recommend heading over to http://www.boardgamegeek.com if you wanted to get some more ideas!

This is an old game and everyone has probably played it to death by now but I just started playing Plants vs Zombies and I am out of my mind addicted to it! I'm playing this game so much I'm having dreams about playing it LOL! The amount of strategy involved is amazing and it's incredibly fun to play.  If you've been living under a rock like I must have been and somehow missed this game you should definitely check it out.
